Empowering displaced individuals through healing, housing, and entrepreneurial recovery.
The Housing Division of My CARE Initiative focuses on providing short term transitional housing for individuals affected by abuse and trauma. Using a Community-Based Development Corporation (CBDC) model, we purchase and renovate properties, turning them into safe, supportive homes for those in need. These homes become places for recovery, empowerment, and growth, where participants can rebuild their lives, both physically and emotionally. The program integrates:
- Entrepreneurial Recovery: Teaching participants construction and renovation skills while empowering them to take ownership of the process.
- Trauma-Responsive Housing: Creating healing spaces that integrate mental health and wellness support.
- Community-Driven Development: Program participants play a hands-on role in renovation projects, making each home a testament to their resilience.
Our Vision: Provide safe, healing spaces that go beyond just physical housing, offering an environment where individuals can recover, grow, and develop new skills that lead to long-term independence and self-sufficiency.
